1Eton and Public Schools

Eton is very famous because it is an old school. It is expensive to go there. Pupils have a tutor and have many activities: sports, drama, art. It is a boarding school: pupils sleep in the school and see their parents for the holidays.

Attention ! En Angleterre, on appelle « public school » une école privée.

Girls can go to Eton, but only since very recently. Can you find since when?

3Why is Eton famous?

Eton has a lot of strange customs. Look at those hats! Every year, there is a cricket match between Harrow (another public school) and Eton. It is very exciting for the pupils!
