- > The + adjectif court -EST
- > The most + adjectif long
Attention
- > Si l'adjectif se termine par un -Y-, le superlatif se terminera par -IEST (cf phrase no 1).
- > Comme pour le comparatif, il existe des exceptions : good / better / the best, bad / worse / the worst.
Emploi
- > On utilise le superlatif pour comparer une chose ou une personne à toutes celles de la même catégorie.
- Prétérit / Prétérit BE + V-ing

Emploi
- > Quand les 2 prétérits sont utilisés dans la même phrase, le prétérit BE + V-ing décrit une activité en cours dans le passé qui sert de cadre à l'action indiquée par le prétérit.
