The United Kingdom flag, also called the ‘Union Jack', is in fact 3 flags in 1!
There is one missing, the Welsh flag (from Wales) with a fiery dragon on it! It is not on the flag because Wales wasn't part of England when the Union Jack was designed.
Plan your own trip and present it with illustrations.
1. Choose the continent and the country you want to visit with the help of a world map: write them down.
2. Find the capital city and the flag of this country: write down the name of the city and draw the flag.
3. Describe how you are planning to go there (transportation).
4. Explain why you want to go there.
5. Go on the Internet and find pictures of monuments or sites you want to see in this country (go to http://en.wikipedia.org and type the name of the destination + ‘places of interest'). You can print them out, draw them or write down the web address.
