People who like Facebook can spend hours on it browsing through other people’s profiles, whereas some people can’t stand it.
On Facebook, you can find old friends and keep in touch with them, you can share pictures with your family, and tell them what’s happening in your life. But beware: they can see what you’re doing at all times.
You can make a lot of new friends too, but be careful: you can receive friend requests from unknown people.
You may share your photos; yet, take great care, they might be misused.
On your profile, you may post your music and your videos, play various games … But if you do not update your privacy settings regularly, everyone can see your information and pictures.

The Internet is an old idea: in the 1960’s, American engineers had the idea of making two computers communicate at a distance. Originally, this project was for the American army only. But after several years of work, the Internet was invented, and in the 1990’s, it became public: everyone with a computer could go on the Internet and visit websites. In 1992, there were only 26 websites. In 2011, there were more than three hundred millions of them.
