Quelques formules utiles pour se présenter

Hello, my name is...
I am... years old.
I live in...
My favourite subject is...

Pour dire son âge, on utilise donc le verbe BE. On peut également l'utiliser avec des adjectifs. Voici comment il se conjugue au présent :

I am eleven years old.
You are clever.
He / she / it is pretty.
We are forty years old.
You are awesome !
They are afraid.

Pour dire ce que l'on possède, on utilise le verbe HAVE. Il se conjugue ainsi au présent :

I have a sister.
You have three books.
He / She / It has a red balloon.
We have twelve eggs.
You have a brother.
They have a lot of money.

Did you know ?

There are five boroughs in New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, the Queens and Staten Island. New York is one of the most famous cities in the world, but it is not the capital of the United States. Do you know which city is the capital?

Your task

Play Who's who? to get to know your new classmates!

On a card, write down :

- if you're a boy or a girl;
- your age;
- your favourite subject;
- your favourite hobby;
- something special about yourself ;
- do you have any brothers or sisters?
- do you have any pets?

Beware: do NOT write your name on the card !

Now your teacher is going to give all the cards back. You have someone else's card: you must describe the person to the class.

  • He/she is ... years old.
  • He/she has ... brothers.
  • He/she likes ... .

Now try and guess who it is!

  • So I think it is ... .
