One of the richest woman in England, Linnet Ridgeway‑Doyle, was found dead on board the S.S. Karnak yesterday night. According to Hercule Poirot, a private detective also travelling on board the ship, she was shot through the head in her cabin.

Ms Ridgeway had recently married Simon Doyle and was on her honeymoon in Egypt. Mr. Poirot said he would question each passenger to solve the crime. The famous Belgian detective will receive help from Colonel Race.
