Nelson Mandela (1918 - 2013) was the first democratically elected president of South Africa. He ended Apartheid, racism, poverty, and tried to get rid of inequalities. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993. He was a great source of inspiration not only for the people of South Africa but also for the world (July 18^th was adopted Nelson Mandela International Day in 2009). Do you get the picture?
